Former Danske Bank leader Glenn Söderholm joins Monthio's Board
Monthio is proud to announce the addition of Glenn Söderholm to its board. Glenn, well-known in the Nordic banking world, brings over 30 years of invaluable experience from the financial sector, primarily with Danske Bank. Here he held various executive leadership team positions over the past nine years.
Monthio’s Founder and CEO Mads Aarup Pedersen said: “We are thrilled to welcome Glenn Söderholm to Monthio's board. His deep expertise in the financial sector will be invaluable to our strategic initiatives. Glenn's addition further strengthens our mission to become the preferred partner for banks and credit providers looking to make better credit decisions. We look forward to working closely with Glenn as we continue to drive innovation and foster sustainable growth in the industry."
Glenn joins Jakob Ekkelund CSO, Templafy, Rikke Kjær Nielsen Partner, EQT, and Hans Henrik Hoffmeyer Co-founder & COO, Coinify on Monthio’s board.
Other notable names from the Danish business world who offer support or investment to Monthio include Jacob Aarup-Andersen (appointed CEO, Carlsberg), Klaus Holse (former chairman Tink and former CEO Simcorp), and Peter Hermann (Partner, Goldman Sachs).
Glenn says: ”I’m delighted to join Monthio’s board. I’ve been following their journey for some time and seen how Monthio's innovative creditworthiness solution has already made a significant impact in the industry. Now I believe the time is right to join the board and offer practical support as Monthio develops and expands its offering internationally.”
"It has become evident that banks, for too long, have focused on building their own systems and keeping operations in-house. However, with the rapid evolution of regulations and consumer demands, maintaining competitiveness requires a different approach. Banks cannot afford to continue this practice. To ensure customer satisfaction and drive customer acquisition, it is crucial for banks to challenge the status quo and collaborate with specialized partners who are experts in specific areas."
Mads continues: “With support from our board and investors, we can embark on the next chapter of Monthio as we expand outside of Denmark and further into Europe. Our vision is to become the preferred partner for banks and credit providers aiming to revolutionize their loan approval process.
Monthio, the Danish credit-decisioning solution, is trusted by the Nordic’s top banks and credit providers to increase the speed and accuracy of their lending processes using Open Banking and other technologies. Monthio has also been recognized as one of the leading providers of Banking Tech and Reg Tech in Europe by the European Fintech Awards.
